Republika Srpska is a region in Bosnia and Herzegovina and is one of the two semi-autonomous entities that make up the country. It covers 49% of the country’s territory and has approximately 1.5 million inhabitants. The Serbs, Christian Orthodox by religion, had lived for centuries in what is known as Bosnia and Herzegovina.Upon the declaration of Bosnian-Herzegovinian independence and establishment of Republika Srpska, Banja Luka became the de facto center of the entity’s politics. At the end of the 19th century in the Gospodska Street (the Street of Veselin Masleša) a line of Neo-Renaissance buildings was raised, and later on a building with stylistic elements of secession, with rich decoration on the wreaths, around the windows and balconies and decorative towers on the edges, making the representative walking zone in the centre of the city....

Vrbas is one of the most beautiful rivers in the Republika Srpska (Serb Republic) and the main Banja Luka watercourse passing through its center. At the exit of the third kilometer from Bijeljina to Pavlović bridge is the Ethno village "Stanišići." The monastery is dedicated to Holly Mary and was erected by Serbian bishop Pribil probably in 1343. During a Turkish occupation of Balkan, the monastery was destroyed and later reconstructed and was abandoned between 18th and 19th century....Andrictown (Andrićgrad) is a tourist, cultural, administrative and educational complex. It is situated on a peninsula between the rivers Drina and Rzav in Visegrad(Republic of Srpska)/Bosnia....Andrićgrad is a project of a famous film director Emir Kusturica, the stone town inspired by the literary works and characters of Nobel Prize winner Ivo Andric. Trebinje, Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina....Trebinje is a small town, lost in the dry mountains of the southern edge of Herzegovina; hidden in a deep valley that resembles the end of the world upon entering. But I knew that there are some experienced producers of quality wine there and my trip to this town did not disappoint at all. From the city center of Trebinje, there is a 2 km road that winds up the hill Crkvina where you reach the church "Hercegovacka Gracanica" (the Gracanica of Hercegovina) a copy of the famous Gracanica Church in Kosovo and Metohija/Serbia.On the top of this hills there was already a christian church (probably from 6th century) in the place where now stands the new Gracanica.......

Monastery Tvrdos is dedicated to the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos and was built upon the stone formations of Tvrdos along the right side of the banks of the Trebisnjica River, four kilometers west of Trebinje.....

Sutjeska National Park/Republika Srpska;The park hosts one of the latter two remaining primeval forests in Europe, called Perucica. Beech trees tower above 60 meters high and endemic black pines stem from the rocky faces that shield the ancient forest. Skakavac waterfall can be viewed from the look-out point – this seventy five meter waterfall is dwarfed by the enormous blanket of green trees that shelter the valley. Emphasized by Sutjeska National Park and whitewater rafting on the Tara River – this unharmed, pristine wilderness is amongst Europe’s last oasis of how nature used to be...
